  • The know-how of our perfume production is based on the knowledge of the ancient Egyptians. They already knew two manufacturing processes. One is aqueous distillation and the use of derivatives. The other method uses fatty, oily macerate (cold water extract) and its derivatives.
  • During distillation, the plant is separated by heating and then cooling. First, the water vapor and the essence of the plant's fragrances are separated and finally the essential oil is separated from the floral water.
  • It is different with the cold expression. As the name suggests, no heating is required. Citrus fruits are processed in an extractor with large grater disks. The result is an essence.
  • In order to dissolve the soluble components of the raw material cold, maceration (infusion/leaching) takes place in pure alcohol. This process takes several months.
